Everest Base Camp takes us through various Sherpa villages, monasteries and glaciers with a magnificent Mountain View. This trek -a walk to the base camp of the world’s greatest mountain, is the grandest walk in the land of the Himalayas.
<p>Arrival in Kathmandu. Check-in to hotel. Evening at the touristic hub. Night in Kathmandu.</p>
<p>After breakfast, full day Kathmandu Valley City tour including Pashupatinath Temple,</p><p>Boudhanath and Swayambhunath Stupa. Trek preparation for Everest Base Camp. Night</p><p>in Kathmandu.</p>
<p>After breakfast, flight to Lukla with wonderful view over Himalayas. We walk on a trail that</p><p>gradually descends to Cheplung village from where we get a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila(5,761m), a</p><p>sacred mountain which has never been climbed. Then we gradually descend until Phakding.</p><p>Overnight in Phakding.</p>
<p>After breakfast, following the trail passes through a pine forest and we continue our walk</p><p>towards north up to the Benkar valley. Crossing Dudh Koshi River and pass Chumoa and Monjo</p><p>villages before reaching the entrance of the Everest National Park. Then after crossing a</p><p>suspension bridge, we pass Jorsale village and walk along the banks of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote</p><p>Koshi rivers. Continue to ascend on a steep trail to reach Namche Bazaar(a small village</p><p>settlement in the mountain where the life meets with antiquity of civilization to our modern</p><p>times).Overnight in Namche Bazaar.</p>
<p>After breakfast, we do tour of Namche Bazaar(the primary town of the Everest or</p><p>Khumbu region and has government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, hospitals, shops,</p><p>restaurants & varieties of the market). Then, we hike-up to Sagarmatha National Park and</p><p>enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas including Mt. Everest(8,848), Lhotse(8,516m),</p><p>Nuptse(7,861m), Ama Dablam(6,810m), Thamserku(6,623 m), Kongde(6,187)m and so</p><p>on. If interested, we can trek to Khumjung village and also visit the Hillary School and a</p><p>monastery.Overnight in Namche Bazaar.</p>
<p>After breakfast, we continue the trail crossing Namche Bazaar. Short uphill and easy way</p><p>takes us to the northern side of the mountain with extremely beautiful view over the</p><p>deeper gorge and the highest mountains surrounded everywhere. Then, ascending to</p><p>Tengboche on a ridge of the mountain which offers magnificent view of Mt. Everest,</p><p>Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku and Tawoche. We visit Tengboche monastery(the</p><p>largest monastery in Khumbu). Night at Tengboche.</p>
<p>After breakfast, Our trek kicks off with a walk through the rhododendron forest to Deboche</p><p>followed by a bridge over the raging Imja Khol River.Passing the valley wall and then traverse the</p><p>plains to Pangboche village(the biggest settlement of Sherpas in the region). Enjoy a great</p><p>opportunity to observe typical Sherpa settlements and have lunch with the locals! Then we</p><p>hike to the Pangboche monastery(one of the oldest in the area). Our afternoon trek will be a</p><p>difficult one, as the landscape gives way to dry, deserted mountains as we hike towards</p><p>Dingboche. Night at Dingboche.</p>
<p>The day for acclimatization at this altitude helps the body to adapt the altitude for the further</p><p>trek. After breakfast, full day of exploring Dingboche and the surrounding valleys of Chhukung</p><p>and Imja and the area of which links with Island Peak, the high passes of Amphu Laptsa, and</p><p>Makalu Barun National Park.. Night at Chhukung.</p>
<p>From this day on forth, the trek will be more challenging because of the higher altitude. After</p><p>breakfast, we’ll pass Dungla, steep walk to the top of a high hill. Here are the memorial</p><p>monuments of remembrance dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives during</p><p>the expedition of Everest over the years. Continuing the trek over rough-rocky mountain terrain</p><p>to Lobuche(a small settlement with amazing views of Mt. Lobuche(6,119m), Mt. Pumori(7,161m)</p><p>and the Nuptse(7,861m). Night at Lobuche.</p>
<p>With much excitement after brerakfast, we trek to Gorak shep(a frozen lake-bed covered with</p><p>sand in Nepal). Lunch at Gorak Shep. Continue the straight trail to Everest Base Camp which is</p><p>harder, involving rocky dunes and moraine, formed accumulation of unconsolidated glacial</p><p>rubbles. On the way to our destination, we’ll approach the famed Khumbu Glacier and icefall,</p><p>located on the slopes of Everest. Bring out your cameras for unbelievable views of breathtaking</p><p>beauty. As the afternoon sun starts to set, we’ll head back to Gorak Shep for some much-needed</p><p>rest and relaxation after a tiring day. Night at Gorak Shep.</p>
<p>Before dawn, we'll trek towards Kalapatthar (which means “black rock”) for a fiery, glorious</p><p>sunrise over Mt. Everest. The day’s first sunlight will illuminate the spectacular view of Nuptse</p><p>Nup, Changtse and Lhotse. The majestic view of Mt.Everest and its neighboring peaks worth the</p><p>snap for pictures. Afterwards, retrace to Gorekshep for breakfast and trek downhill in the</p><p>direction towards Pheriche. Night at Pheriche.</p>
<p>After breakfast, we walk from Pheriche back to Namche through Tengboche. We’ll be in Namche</p><p>by evening. Night at Namche.</p>
<p>With every good memory of trekking-trails, himalayas and beauty of the trek, we walk down</p><p>through the Hillary suspension bridge after breakfast and through the forest to Phakding. Lunch</p><p>at Phakding. Then walk down for 2 hours to reach Lukla. Night at Lukla.</p>
<p>After breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu. Check-in to hotel. Farewell dinner with cultural program</p><p>in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.</p>
<p>After breakfast, transfer to Airport. Happy see off.</p>
