The yatra is mainly known for two things: doing a parikrama of Mount Kailash and taking a holy dip in the Mansarovar Lake. These are said to relieve pilgrims of any sins and bringing salvation to them.

Open for people between the age group of 18 and 70, the yatra can be done on foot or the voyage can be performed using 4500 CC Land Cruisers, luxury AC buses and helicopters. To pre-book, one can either go through the Ministry of External Affairs (there is a selection process for the same) or through a private tour operator in Nepal/Tibet.

Day 1 :

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 :

Day 02: Kathmandu Arrival (B)

After breakfast, city tour in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath Darsan and Night in
Kathmandu.

Day 3 :

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi (B)

Drive to Dhunche (2000m / 130 km / 6 hrs) or Syabrubesi (1600m / 145 km / 6.5 hrs).
Overnight stay Lodge.

Day 4 :

Day 04: Drive to Kerung County (B)

Drive to Rasuwagadhi (1800m / 15 km / 45 min from Syabrubesi), then complete
immigration & custom formalities in Nepal & Tibet side at Rasuwagadhi, and then
continue further drive to Kerung county (3950m/ 3 hrs / 105 km). Overnight stay

Day 5 :

Day 05: At Kerung County - Rest Day

All Day - Entire day free for acclimatization. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 6 :

Day 06: Drive to Saga

After Breakfast 9 a.m. – Drive to Saga (100 km – 5hrs).Breakfast, Packed Lunch and
Dinner at Saga Hotel or similar.

Day 7 :

Day 07: Drive from Saga to Mansarovar Lake

08:00 a.m. - Drive towards Mansarovar Lake (450km - 7 8hrs) crossing beautiful places
and stay at the shore of the Lake. Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake by vehicle (2 hrs - 90
km). Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner at Hotel Mansarovar Lake Side Lodge.

Day 8 :

Day 08: Drive to Darchen

Most of the day - Take holy bath and perform Puja (prayer ritual) at Mansarovar Lake.
04:00 p.m. - Drive to Darchen (2hrs). Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Hotel Dormitory
Sharing Guest House.

Day 9 :

Day 09: First Day of Outer Kora - Trek to Dirapuk

10:00 a.m. - After short drive, we will reach Tarboche and visit Yama Dwar. This is starting
point for Kora. We will trek to Dirapuk (4860 m) which is 12 km trek (5-6 hrs). You will
visit North face of Mt. Kailash and touching the feet of Mt. Kailash (Charan Sparsh).
Travelers who do not want to trek around (Parikrama) Kailash can go back to Darchen
and wait for rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama. Meal: Breakfast at Mansarovar,
Lunch & Dinner or on the way during Parikrama. Hotel: Mud house on the way during
Parikrama or Stay in Dormitory Guest House at Darchen .

Day 10 :

Day 10: Second Day of Outer Kora - On to Zuthulphuk with Trek to Dolma La Pass

07:00 a.m. - Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and proceed to Zuthulpuk (22 km trek
for 7-8 hours trek). This is the most difficult journey throughout the yatra since you have
to trek up to the 18,600 ft. From descend to Gaurikund and further trek along with the
river to Zuthul-puk. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Hotel: Stay at the Lodge (Zuthul-puk).NOTE: If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will still be waiting at Darchen

Day 11 :

Day 11: Drive to Saga

08:00 a.m. - After short Trek (2 hrs) and reach to the point where the coach will be
waiting and we will drive to Darchen and merge with other members who were
waiting and drive to Saga. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Hotel Saga or similar

Day 12 :

Day 12: Drive back to Kerung

<p>Back to the journey, drive to Kerung County. Overnight stay at Guesthouse.</p>

Day 13 :

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi border completing immigration formalities
– around 8-10 hr / 265 km. Mahadev Hotel, Tibet hotel or similar.

Day 14 :

Day 14: International Departure(B)

Early morning breakfast. Transfer to airport or to the next destination (Bus Station).
