Stroll through the ancient Mithila city to experience the Terai culture of southern
Nepal and visit the Ram Janaki Temple in the center of the city that draws allusions
to the famous Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’. The city that has been mentioned in
Ramanayana as birthplace of Sita, Ram’s consort. As Ram is believed to be the
incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Sita is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Laxmi as
per the great Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’.
It is also believed that it was in Janakpur that Lord Rama and Sita met and were
married to each other. Janakpur is also on the holy route of Parikrama (holy circle)
carried out by Hindus as a form of worship in Ayodhya, Kashi and Brij in India as well.
Another important religious site nearby is Dhanushadham, its reference again dating
back to the Ramayana era. It is believed to be the place where the divine Shiva’s
bow was broken by Ram. Then, Rama and Sita got married.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Day 2 :

Day 02: Full day Kathmandu(B)

After breakfast, Full day city tour in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath Darsan,
Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath and Patan . Night in Kathmandu.

Day 3 :

Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara (B)

After breakfast, Drive to Pokhara for 4/6hrs. Later check in Hotel. Boating in Phewa
Lake to visit Tal Barahi temple. Night in Pokhara.

Day 4 :

Day 04: Full day Pokhara (B)

After breakfast, visit Sarangkot for Sunrise view. Half day city tour of Pokhara city.
[Visit Gupteshwor Mahadev, David’s fall, Seti River Gorges]. After noon transfer to
Kathmandu. Night in Kathmandu.

Day 5 :

Day 05: Pokhara - Chitwan (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer to Chitwan by Tourist Bus approx 4 to 5hrs drive. After
Lunch, Jungle walk, Bird Watching and Evening Dinner with Special Tharu Cultural
Dance

Day 6 :

Day 06: Full day Chitwan (B/L/D)

After breakfast, Canoeing Trip, visit Elephant Breeding Center by Jungle walk. After
Lunch, Jeep drive to see wild animals. [Optional: Elephant ride with extra cost], after
dinner, chat with guide about the significance of ecological perspective of Chitwan area

Day 7 :

Day 07: Drive to Mithila City(B)

After breakfast, drive to Janakpur city by Tourist Bus. After check in Hotel, visit Ram
Janaki Mandir and Dhanushadham. Night in Janakpur.

Day 8 :

Day 08: International Departure to Border(B) or transfer to next destination (Bus Station).

After breakfast, end of the tour. Happy see off.
